Highlighting the importance of younger voters taking part in our electoral process, Dan will be joined by the two candidates for Boston Mayor, Michelle Wu and Annissa Essaibi George, in our first hour. Regis College President Antoinette Hays will also check in and outline how the college educates students to make a positive impact on their communities using voting for empowerment. Puppy Experiments. Twenty-four members of Congress have grave concerns over taxpayer-funded drug experiments on beagle puppies supported by the NIH. According to a letter sent by members of the House to NIAID director Dr. Anthony Fauci, $1.7 million has been spent to debark, drug, torture and kill 44 puppies. Is experimentation like this ever justified? Dan speaks with PETA Senior Vice President of Laboratory Investigations Kathy Guillermo about the story.
No More Cash Bail? The President has released his plan to promote gender equity and it includes the elimination of cash bail in the justice system as a way to combat both gender and racial disparities. The move comes just as FBI data shows an unprecedented rise in violent crime. Will ending our current cash bail system put the public at risk?
