No Vaccine, No Dining In. Starting this weekend anyone looking to dine indoors at Boston restaurants and bars will be required to show proof of Covid vaccination. A handful of other local communities including Brookline are expected to follow suit. Does this change your plans to dine out? Will this requirement hurt restaurants? Paying The Fine. The Canadian province of Quebec made an announcement yesterday that any resident who refuses to get vaccinated against COVID-19 will face a “significant” financial penalty. Despite Quebec’s high vaccination rate with about 90% of its adult population with at least one dose, the unvaccinated are taking up half of their intensive care units. Is inflicting fines on the unvaccinated the right move to encourage vaccinations? Or should people have a right to choose without consequences?
