Covid Vaccine or No Transplant, Your Choice. A 31-year-old man in desperate need of a heart transplant was removed from the transplant list because he was not vaccinated against COVID-19. For the Mass General Brigham Health System along with many other hospitals across the country a COVID-19 vaccine is “one of several vaccines and lifestyle behaviors required for transplant candidates”.
