Educators of Color Raise Concern Over Boston’s Vaccine Mandate. Boston Public Schools could lose dozens of educators of color over Mayor Wu’s vaccine mandate. According to the Boston Teachers Association, over 200 educators of color remain unvaccinated. BPS teacher Paula Taylor is just one educator of color among many who are concerned that if Wu’s mandate is enforced, it will disrupt learning and carry long-term implications in the district, where three-quarters of students are Black or Latino. Learning To Live With It. A new Monmouth University polls finds that a majority of Americans believe Covid is “here to stay” and “we need to just get on with our lives”. Of those surveyed the majority believe it will take longer than by the end of this year for the country to get Covid under control and “return to normal” if at all. Death Row. California is now moving to dismantle the nation’s largest death row by moving all condemned inmates to other prisons within two years. Gov. Gavin Newsom said the goal is to turn the section at San Quentin State Prison into a "positive, healing environment”. What this would mean is that serial killers would be moved to facilities that offer them more amenities and makes their lives more comfortable. Is this a slap in the face to the victims and victim’s families?
