Beijing Olympics. The 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing are underway. Due to concern for their safety, U.S. athletes have been warned by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to not speak out against the Chinese government while competing there. The Chinese government has been the subject of much criticism for their treatment of the Uyghurs which has been described by the U.S. government and others as genocide.
