Teachers Reach Agreement With Boston. Mayor Michelle Wu has announced that the city of Boston has reached an agreement with the Boston Teachers Union on key Covid-19 policies. The agreement allows unvaccinated members to submit proof of two negative Covid-19 screening tests per week during periods of lower virus transmission. During periods of higher virus transmission, unvaccinated members will not be allowed in school buildings, but may use some accrued time as an alternative to being placed on unpaid administrative leave. BTU President Jessica Tang joins Dan to discuss.

Sky High! Inflation reaches a 40-year high! The Consumer Price Index released a report today that says consumer prices have jumped by 7.5% compared to this time last year. This marks the steepest year over year increase since February of 1982. There are a number of contributing factors to this rise including supply and worker shortages, rising energy, food, and electricity prices, and more. Are you concerned about the rising inflation? Who is to blame for it?

Mounting Impact. As the Canadian trucker protest continues there is growing concern for how the border blockade is starting to impact the auto industry and transportation in North America. Yesterday the blockade of the Ambassador Bridge between Detroit and Canada forced Ford Motors to shut down one of their plants. Many Canadians are worried in general about the possible economic effects this could have as the bridge counts for 25% of all trade between the two countries. Dan discusses the continuing implications of the Canadian “Freedom Convoy”.
