Split Across Massachusetts. There is a movement afoot at the MA State House to “prohibit the use of Native American mascots at public schools in the Commonwealth”. A Boston Globe poll reveals that voters are split on whether to have a statewide ban on Native school mascots. Dan wants to know if you think it should be left up to individual cities and towns to decide or if the decision should lie with the state.
The War Continues… The European Union has agreed to block more than two thirds of Russian oil imports as part of new punitive measures against Russian. In addition, President Biden revealed that the U.S. will not be sending long range rocket systems to aid Ukraine out of fear it could spark a major escalation in the ongoing conflict. Who Did It? Supreme Court officials are requesting law clerks’ cell phone records and asking those clerks to sign affidavits to determine who may have leaked a draft opinion that would overturn Roe vs. Wade.
