It’s Shark “Season”! Over the Memorial Day weekend researchers at the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy confirmed the first great white shark sighting of the season off of Cape Cod. The number of shark detections on Cape Cod has risen every year since 2013 with last year being the highest number of detections to date with a total of 169,198 detections. New England Is “Overdue” … Today marks the first day of hurricane season. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting an "above-average" Atlantic hurricane season. New England has not experienced a hurricane make landfall since 1991. Weather experts at the National Weather Service say New England is “overdue” for a direct hit from a hurricane. Meteorologist Tom Chisholm joins Dan to discuss what you can expect this hurricane season.
Depp vs. Heard Verdict Reached! After deliberating for roughly 14 hours the jury in the Depp vs. Heard Defamation trial has finally reached a verdict. The jury found both actor Johnny Depp and Depp’s ex-wife actor Amber Heard liable for defamation. Depp sued Heard for $50 million over an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in which she described herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” Heard then countersued Depp for $100 million. The jury awarded Depp $15 million and Heard $2 million. Tonight, Dan breaks down the case!
