Recertifying Police in MA. The Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission (POST) as part of their recertification process has been seeking to have officers fill out a questionnaire to determine if they have “good moral” character. On said questionnaire it asks the officer questions such as if they’ve posted anything on social media that “you believe could be perceived as bias against anyone”. A group of law enforcement organizations took aim with these questions and challenged the “boy scout standard”. A judge has now thrown out two questions on the POST’s questionnaire. Supporting Ukraine. The war continues on in Ukraine where Russia is still very much on the offense where just yesterday a Russian missile struck a shopping mall in the city of Kremenchuk killing at least 18 people. Dan discusses the ongoing war in Ukraine and checks back in with the Ukrainian Relief Mission Charitable Corporation on their continuing efforts to provide relief for Ukrainian refugees in Poland.
“Take me up to the Capitol, now!” Today the January 6th House Select Committee held a surprise hearing in which Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows testified. Hutchinson relayed her experience surrounding the Jan. 6th attack which included a secondhand account of former President Trump expressing sentiment that the rioters on Capitol Hill were not doing anything wrong. In addition Hutchinson shared a secondhand account of Trump lunging at a Secret Service agent when he was not taken to Capitol Hill as he asked.
