A City Filled with History. The Fourth of July is celebrated throughout the country, but it’s always special in Boston. The City was one of the first places to light fireworks on the 4th and in 1777 it hosted its first fireworks show. On the music side, the Boston Pops Orchestra has been playing “The Stars and Stripes Forever” at the end of their concert since 1899. Boston’s House Band. Winiker Music has been playing at weddings, corporate events, parties, and celebrations for over 30 years. The Boston Globe dubbed them “Boston’s House Band” and Bill and Bo have been playing music since they were 10. Bill Winiker joins Morgan to chat about their longstanding career, changes in the music business and how they’ve adapted, and where the road is taking them next!
Summer Movie Blockbusters. From Top Gun to Elvis, the summer movie scene is really heating up! After a COVID lull, people are starting to get back to the theaters to enjoy the big screen. Emmy Award-winning Arts and Entertainment Critic Joyce Kulhawik joins Morgan to chat about this year’s blockbusters.
