Stern Warnings from Beijing. China’s Foreign Ministry has made it abundantly clear that a Taiwan visit from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will not be met with open arms. The private warnings to the Biden administration suggest a possible military response should Pelosi make the visit, which is scheduled in August. For further analysis of the situation, Jordan welcomes author and columnist Gordon G. Chang who lived and worked in China and Hong Kong for almost two decades.

Understanding NVLD. Today, in an emotional video, Will Smith addressed his behavior on March 27 at the 2022 Academy Awards. He stated Chris Rock “is not ready to talk” and he went on to apologize to the Rock family along with his own family. Many were surprised at Chris Rock’s non-reaction to Smith’s Oscar slap, bringing renewed attention to Rock’s non-verbal learning disorder diagnosis in 2020. Jordan chats with neuropsychologist Dr. Angela Currie from NESCA about NVLD, its symptoms, treatment, and other associated learning disabilities.

Love Is in the Air. The 2022 wedding season is turning out to be one of the busiest with a reported 2.5 million couples looking to tie the knot this year! The last couple of years have been challenging due to COVID restrictions and cancellations but the invites are now going out and the dream of a perfect wedding is becoming a reality. Here to share with Jordan the latest in wedding trends, exciting new venues, and how to plan the perfect wedding is the owner of Contagious Events, Josef Rogers.

The Return of Summer Theater. The pandemic wreaked havoc on so many businesses around the country, but probably had the biggest impact on live performance venues such as theaters. After being closed for almost a year and a half, the North Shore Music Theatre reopened on September 17, 2021, and has been going strong ever since. As the saying goes, the show must go on, and indeed it has! Joining Jordan to chat about current productions at the North Shore Music Theatre is its owner, Bill Hanney.
