Orange Line Shutdown. The MBTA has announced plans to shut down their Orange Line train service for 30 days to do major track and maintenance work. The shutdown will begin on August 19th and continue through September 18th. The MBTA says as a result of this work, it will improve service, safety, and reliability on a faster timeline.
