The Feud Continues… The feud continues between Cambridge business owners and the Cambridge City Council over the city’s 2020 Cycling Safety Ordinance that requires installation of separated bike lanes. As a result of the constructed bike lanes, local businesses have had some of their parking and loading zones removed, which they claim has had a huge negative impact on their businesses. Dan checks in with multiple Cambridge business owners about the ongoing lawsuit between Cambridge Streets For All and the City of Cambridge.
Sharktivity! August is a hot month for shark sightings. Last year the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy reported more than 63,000 detections in August, making it the month with the most detections. This past Tuesday there were 14 Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard shark sightings, with one being only 5-10 yards from the shore! Multiple beaches were temporarily such down as a result of the sightings. Stuck In Russia. WNBA professional athlete Brittney Griner has been sentenced to 9 years in a Russia prison after being convicted on drug charges by a Moscow court. Back in February Griner was arrested at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport after authorities confiscated vape cartridges containing hashish oil. Griner claims she accidentally packed the cartridges in haste. Will the Biden Administration be able to successfully pull off a prisoner swap with Russia to get Griner home?
