Earlier this year the Special Commission on the Official Seal and Motto of the Commonwealth voted unanimously to recommend replacing the state seal and motto. While most of the commission remains in favor of the change, not everyone is on board with the change, including one Indigenous member who is concerned that an important piece of Native American history will be lost. When Your Flight Gets Delayed… Air travelers who experience significant delays or cancellations may soon get cash refunds from their airline if a new bill passes. A group of lawmakers, including MA Sen. Ed Markey, introduced the Cash Refunds for Flight Cancellations Act to hold airlines accountable for extensive delays and cancellations that have skyrocketed over the last two years. Markey said, “Enough is enough: Travelers are sick of wasting their valuable time fighting the airlines to receive their legally-required cash refunds.” Do you support this Act or is it unfair to the airlines?
Jobs Are Up! The July Jobs Report has been released and it revealed that the U.S. added 528,000 new jobs in July and the unemployment rate fell to pre-pandemic levels. The monthly jobs gain was more than double the 250,000 that top economists were predicting. Is the U.S. turning a corner out of the recession it’s in?
