Goodbye Tradition. A colonial costume tradition for third graders in Medfield, MA has been cancelled. For decades the 3rd grade class would dress up in colonial clothing and travel to nearby Rocky Woods for an authentic interactive historical experience with MA Native Peoples and European Settlers. Now students will all wear matching T-shirts. Why the change? Should the tradition have carried on? Why or why not?

Biden Visits Florida. In the wake of Hurricane Ian and its devastating aftereffects, President Joe Biden traveled to Florida to survey the damage. All eyes were on the trip as Biden was briefed by political rival Gov. Ron DeSantis on the disaster recovery efforts. Did the two put political differences aside and work as one? We discuss the recovery efforts and the President’s remarks to the people of Florida.

Slashing Oil Production! OPEC, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, announced that it will slash oil production by 2 million barrels per day. This move is the biggest cut since before the pandemic started and it threatens to push the price of gasoline higher. We discuss the repercussions this move has on the American people.
