Boston Community “Reeling.” Last weekend three people were shot and killed in the city of Boston. The violent weekend has brought about additional cries for swift action to address the spike in violence that Boston has seen as of late. Mayor Wu says community members are “reeling” from the surge in deaths. What can and should be done to make Boston’s neighborhoods safer?
A 19 Year Low… According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress, the math and reading scores for Massachusetts students in grades four and eight have dropped to their lowest levels in almost two decades. The declines are primarily a direct result of how the Covid pandemic affected educational learning for students. How long will it take for students to bounce back? As a parent are you concerned?
Rejected & Stuck. WNBA star athlete Brittney Griner has been stuck in Russia since February after getting arrested on drug charges at a Moscow airport for carrying hashish oil. A Russian court just rejected Griner’s appeal. National security adviser Jake Sullivan says the President is “willing to go to extraordinary lengths” to bring Americans home.
