No Right on Red! This week Cambridge City Council voted to ban the practice of turning right on red. It’s an effort to protect cyclists and pedestrians. The new policy is in line with Vision Zero, an international campaign the city adopted that aims to eliminate “all traffic fatalities and severe injuries, while increasing safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all.” What are your thoughts on banning right on red in your town?

Is MA Really as Blue as Some Think? While almost all the Democratic candidates in Massachusetts succeeded in their midterm races by 60%, some of the MA ballot questions that passed, passed by a slimmer margin. Questions 1 and 4 did not see an overwhelming majority of Democratic favoritism. Are Democrats more conservative on some issues than one might think? Is there a disconnect amongst voters?

To Bring It Back or Not… According to a new AP VoteCast survey, about 6 in 10 Massachusetts voters favor the state legalizing Happy Hour. The state banned bars and restaurants from offering special liquor discounts back in 1984. Do you think it’s time to bring back Happy Hour? Why or why not?
