Father and Son. Media is in their blood. While Morgan is covering our world on radio, his son, Evan White, is covering our world on television. As a general assignment reporter for Boston 25 News, Evan delivers daily reports and features on what’s happening on our local streets to what’s happening on Wall Street. Tonight, Morgan chats with his son about the world of reporting and what it takes to be a great journalist.
Pre-CGI Special Effects. In today’s movies, the impossible is possible with some help from computer-generated imagery. It saves time, and money, and can turn a good movie into a great one. CGI has lightened the load of many special effects artists, but not all directors are fans of CGI. So how are traditional special effects created and can they work in conjunction with CGI? Gary King, a second-generation special effects artist, explains to Morgan how stunning effects are created these days for movies.
The “King of Pop Culture”. Gary Sohmers is an appraiser of toys, collectibles, and memorabilia. He’s America's only psychic appraiser and did thousands of appraisals on the PBS television show, Antiques Roadshow. As the owner of Wex Rex Collectibles and Saxonville Auction Services, he attends and sells at numerous antiques and collectibles events each year as well as working the media circuit. Morgan chats with Sohmers about his psychic appraisals and most valuable possessions.
