Potential Change to MA Tax Cap Law. The MA House has unveiled a new tax relief plan that if approved would change a tax cap law that dictates how the state returns excess revenue to taxpayers. Last year, the tax revenue collection exceeded the annual cap by $2.941 billion. As a result, under Chapter 62F, taxpayers received checks based on their personal income tax liability. If this House bill passes, it would make refunds equal for all taxpayers no matter how much they paid in taxes. Paul Craney of the MA Fiscal Alliance joins Dan to discuss.
Pentagon Leaker Revealed! Today a 21-year-old guardsman from Massachusetts was arrested for leaking classified U.S. government documents. The documents were initially shared last month on Discord, which is a chat app, and then spread to other areas of the internet. The documents supposedly reveal details of military capabilities of some U.S. allies and adversaries. Dan discusses the latest on this investigation.
