I'm Popeye the Sailor Man. Popeye started as a cartoon strip back in 1929 and remains a popular cartoon to this day! The spinach-eating sailor had many memorable catchphrases such as “I yam what I yam an' tha's all I yam!,” “Blow me down!,” and “I'm strong to the finich, 'cause I eats me spinach.” Although spinach is probably every child’s least favorite vegetable, Popeye is still gaining popularity with the younger crowd. Author Fred Grandinetti has authored several books about this cartoon character, and he joins Morgan with some exciting news about the franchise!

Joining Morgan to talk about local celebrities is Media Historian Donna Halper.
