Bring On the Rats! Boston City Council President Ed Flynn is proposing an Office of Pest Control for the city to combat its rat problem. Last year Boston was ranked number 13 on Orkin’s Top 50 Rattiest Cities, so the city is no stranger to dealing with rat issues. Boston’s proposal would be modeled after NYC’s, which appointed its first rat czar last month. Council Pres. Flynn joins Dan to discuss.

Language Triggers Debated Among Schools. In recent years, the analysis and debate over words or subject matter that may have a negative connotation has become more prevalent. Cornell University made the decision to reject students’ petition to mandate content warnings for potentially traumatic content covered in class. Then, Smith College’s graduate School for Social Work made the decision to stop using the term “field” from its lexicon. Dan wants to hear your thoughts on these tough language assessments.

God Save The King! The coronation of King Charles III is upon us! This is Britain’s first coronation in 70 years. Even though King Charles has already been serving as the commonwealth’s reigning monarch since the moment Queen Elizabeth died, the purpose of the coronation is to legitimize the monarch in a public way.
