Granting Kids Voting Rights. There are lots of kids under the age of 18 who have expressed their desire to vote and Cambridge mom, Robin Chen, fights daily on their behalf. As Co-Founder of the Children’s Voting Colloquium, Chen leads a community of thought leaders and influencers in Massachusetts and beyond who are fighting for change. Robin Chen joins Dan for discussion and invites one of the nation’s foremost experts on children’s rights, Barbara Bennett Woodhouse, to the conversation.

Commonwealth Behind on Reducing Plastics. Many stores in Massachusetts have already banned single-use plastic bags, but a new bill, if passed, will prohibit all Mass. retail stores from handing out these bags. Retailers fear customer price increases as paper bag alternatives cost significantly more per unit to produce, purchase, and ship to the Commonwealth. Joining Dan tonight to expand upon the topic will be Janet Domenitz, Executive Director of MASSPIRG.

From the Lab to Your Plate! Today, the USDA gave the green light for the sale of “lab-grown” chicken. The move ushers in a whole new way of producing meat. But don’t rush to the grocery stores just yet! For now, this meat will only be appearing in two exclusive restaurants, one in San Francisco and one in Washington, D.C. Are you looking forward to trying “cell-cultivated” meat?
