Healey Upheld In Superior Court – A Suffolk County Superior Court Judge has upheld Governor Maura Healey’s plan to cap the number of local and migrant homeless families being provided shelter under the state’s 1983 “Right to Shelter Law” at 7,500. The administration argued that the costs have become prohibitive as the migrant surge into Massachusetts (the only state with such a statute) continues unabated.
A Boston City Council Showdown – Boston City Councilor Sharon Durkan is facing a second challenge from former Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Montez Haywood.
