Baystate Budget Blues. Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey announced that due to a lower-than-expected tax revenue collection of about $1 billion less in 2024, her administration is cutting $375 million in spending for the state. Healey said the cuts won’t impact school funding or local aid, nor are state officials planning to lay off any government employees. What will the cuts affect? We’ll discuss more in length, tonight.
