Gov. Healey’s State of the Commonwealth. With a year under her belt as governor, Maura Healey delivered her first State of the Commonwealth speech. Healey boasted that her administration met every one of their first-year goals saying, “Massachusetts is more affordable, more competitive, and more equitable than it was a year ago.” Following Healey’s speech MA Sen. Peter Durant gave the Republican response and tonight, he joins Dan to discuss Healey’s speech and the GOP response.
Charged For Housing Homeless. Pastor Chris Avell of the church, “Dad’s Place” in Bryan, Ohio has received numerous criminal charges for housing homeless residents, who have nowhere else to go, at his church. As of New Years Eve, law enforcement served Avell 18 criminal charges for zoning violations in front of his congregation. Should the pastor be criminally charged for doing what he religiously believes “we're called to do”?
