No Life Without Parole For Murderers Under 20. In mid-January of this year, Massachusetts’ highest court ruled that it’s unconstitutional to use the sentencing of life without parole to punish people who committed their crimes when they are 18, 19, or 20 years old. Les Gosule, whose daughter was killed in 1999 by a felon out on parole despite 27 convictions, is strongly opposed to this new ruling. Gosule and Plymouth County DA Tim Cruz joins Dan to discuss.
NYPD Officers Attacked in Times Square Draws National Attention. Two NYPD officers were assaulted by a large group of individuals in Times Square after trying to disperse a disorderly crowd outside of a migrant shelter. Seven suspects were arrested, four of them migrants who were released without bail and believed to have now fled the state in route to California. Dan will discuss this controversial incident that’s stirred a lot of controversy about criminal justice reform and assault on police officers.
