Marshfield Stands Up to The State. The town of Marshfield joins a growing number of other communities in Massachusetts that have rejected the state’s MBTA Communities Act. The Act is MA’s answer to their housing crisis by requiring cities and towns near public transit, build multifamily housing adjacent to transit. Marshfield has until the end of 2024 to comply or risk losing state funding. We hear from Marshfield residents who share their thoughts.
To Retire or Not to Retire… According to an AARP survey, 1 in 4 U.S. adults aged 50 or older who are not yet retired, expect to never retire! The higher cost of living is one of the main reasons why people are unable to save for retirement. In addition, a looming issue that will affect Americans' ability to retire is the financial health of Social Security and Medicare. Do you think you’ll be able to retire? Why or why not?
