Harvard Says Goodbye to DEI Statements. This week, Harvard University’s largest division, their Faculty of Arts and Sciences, made the decision that they will no longer require diversity statements for their faculty. This comes five years after the school first started implementing the requirement that incoming faculty submit an essay explaining how they would advance “diversity, inclusion, and belonging” in their work. Vanderbilt University Chancellor Daniel Diermeier and Attorney Harvey Silverglate join Dan to discuss Harvard’s decision and more!
Biden Rolls Out Executive Order on the Border. President Biden enacted a mandate that requires U.S. Border Patrol to shut down the Southern Border when unlawful crossings hit capacity at 2,500 migrants a day. The measure will remain in place until crossings dip below 1,500 a day. Dan will discuss the details this evening with retired Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Victor Avila.
