Calls for Reform. In response to the questionable and unprofessional commentary from MA State Police trooper and lead investigator Michael Proctor revealed during the Karen Read Trial, the Massachusetts Association for Professional Law Enforcement (MAPLE) is calling on Gov. Maura Healey to do an overhaul of the MA State Police. Dennis Galvin, president of MAPLE says the Read Trial is revealing some “serious professional issues” and that a forced receivership of the agency should be considered. Do you agree? The Battle of Bunker Hill. Today is the 249th anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill, in which hundreds of British soldiers and colonial militia fought and died during the first major battle of the American Revolution. The Presidential Debate Rules. Both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have agreed to a set of rules ahead of their first U.S. presidential debate that is set to occur on June 27th. Some of the agreed upon rules include mic muting and no props, among other things. Dan will break down the rules and get your reaction as we prepare for next week’s presidential debate.
