What Will the MA State Flag Be? Massachusetts created the Special Commission Relative to the Seal and Motto of the Commonwealth roughly three years ago with the goal of producing a new state flag and seal. The current flag has been deemed inappropriate for its depiction of a sword held high over an Indigenous person. The Commission was given $100k to produce a new design and years later they came up short. Now, it appears another $100k is allotted for the Commission in the state’s 2025 budget…What’s the hold up?
