Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has resigned from her position after growing backlash over the security at the PA Trump rally where there was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump’s life. President Biden acknowledged the resignation by making a statement saying, “Jill and I are grateful to Director Kim Cheatle for her decades of public service. She has selflessly dedicated and risked her life to protect our nation throughout her career in the United States Secret Service.”
