Tightening Up Migrant Housing in MA. It’s coming up on almost a year since MA Gov. Maura Healey declared a state of emergency existed in the Commonwealth because of the influx of migrants. The migrant crisis has put a serious financial strain on the state’s budget. Taxpayers in Massachusetts have spent more than $1 billion to date on the emergency shelter system. Dan will discuss a new report that has come out from the Center for Immigration Studies, which believes costs will only continue to go up if lawmakers “don’t do something to address the problem.”

The race has changed now that President Biden has dropped out and VP Kamala Harris has moved up, running to be the Democratic presidential nominee.
