Gov. Healey Signs New Gun Law into Effect. Today MA Gov. Maura Healey signed an emergency preamble that puts the new MA gun reform bill into law immediately, ensuring it cannot be suspended by a referendum petition. The governor said the new gun law bans ghost guns, invests in violence prevention programs, and more. This evening, MA Sen. Peter Durant joins Dan to discuss!
Boston Churches’ Atonement. Last weekend at the Arlington Street Church in Boston, a number of white clergy members gathered to sign an atonement statement formally apologizing for their church’s complicity in slavery and its legacy. Black faith leaders including, Rev. Kevin Peterson, were also in attendance to sign the atonement document as witnesses. Rev. Peterson joins Dan this evening on this “important first step.”
