Classroom Cellphone Bans: Yay or Nay? A lot of school districts in Massachusetts have been toying with the idea of a classroom cellphone ban. Smart phones have been competing with teachers for their students undivided attention for quite some time now. According to the Pew Research Center, 72% of U.S. high school teachers say cellphone distraction is a major problem in the classroom. Where do you come down on banning cellphones in the classroom?
Distracted Driving! Every year, about 3,000 people die in auto accidents due to distracted driving. The CDC has identified three kinds of distracted driving: visual distractions, manual distractions, and cognitive distractions. That can include anything from being distracted by the passing scenery, to using your phone, to even singing or talking. What is the wildest example of distracted driving that you have witnessed?
