The offshore wind industry has seen traction in recent years, gaining government backing. While offshore wind is seen by some as a way to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, others take aim with the wind projects, citing environmental concerns; especially after last Summer’s Nantucket wind turbine failure that left debris littered across Nantucket beaches.
