The Battle over White Stadium. Today protesters gathered at Boston’s White Stadium to rally against the Franklin Park renovation project, a plan that includes tearing down the existing stadium to make way for a new facility, which will be used by a professional women’s soccer team and Boston Public Schools. The project has quickly become a key issue in this year’s Boston mayoral race with mayoral candidate Josh Kraft opposing the project, calling for an “immediate halt” on the demolition, whereas Mayor Wu supports the project. Josh Kraft checks in with Dan to discuss.

Federal Workers on the Chopping Block. The JFK Presidential Library in Boston temporarily closed Tuesday after some staff layoffs that came as part of the Trump Administration’s efforts to downsize the federal workforce. The worker cuts started with probationary employees who had not yet gained civil service protection. Some federal agencies were warned that large workplace cuts would be coming. We discuss the impact of the Trump Administration’s move to cut thousands of federal workers.
