What Would You Do? This week an MBTA commuter rail train collided with a tractor trailer in Canton, MA. Luckily, the truck driver is okay. It appears the truck got stuck behind the railroad crossing gate on one side of the road and on the track. Instead of driving through the other gate on the opposite side of the tracks, the driver decided to vacate the vehicle, abandoning it on the tracks. What would you do in this situation if your vehicle were stuck between barriers on a railroad track? Would you do the same thing as the driver and abandon the vehicle, drive through the opposing gate or something else?
The Stock Market's Rollercoaster Ride. Stocks are on quite the rollercoaster ride. Stocks have swung wildly every day this week amid uncertainty about President Trump’s tariff plans and their economic fallout. On Wednesday, President Trump announced a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs except for China. We will be joined by Tatsu Ikeda, an information tech consultant and engineer who has developed an expertise in the U.S. and global economy. Tatsu will discuss the latest in the world of the U.S. economy and finance and how the market continues to shake out today.
