Self-Driving Cars. Is Boston ready for self-driving cars? While Waymo has been testing out their autonomous vehicles (AVs) here, there are no current plans for a commercial launch in the city as many local officials have their concerns or reservations about how AVs would work with Boston's unique road infrastructure.
