An Early Morning Fire In Brockton Leaves Several People Hospitalized

BROCKTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Brockton Firefighters rescued several people from a fire inside a multi-family home, early Sunday morning.

At around 1:00 A.M., Brockton Fire Department got reports of a 3rd alarm fire tearing its way through a triple-decker home at 25 Central Square. Firefighters rescued several people on higher floors using ground ladders, West Bridgewater Fire Department said.

WBZ TV reports that a teenager who was rescued is in critical condition while the others rescued are in stable condition. All of the victims have been transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Within about an hour, the heavy fire was put out, according to the Brockton Emergency Management Agency.

Brockton Fire Department was on the scene with Brockton Emergency Management Agency and West Bridgewater Fire Department. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
