BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Around 50 people showed up to the Rink at 401 Park with ice skates in hand ready to get their yoga on Sunday morning.

IceFlow returned to the rink near Fenway this winter to give yoga lovers a chance to break out the skates. The yoga-inspired class teaches people of all skill levels to combine the movements of ice skating with yoga techniques.

One experienced ice skater told WBZ's Susanne Sausville she enjoys combining her passion with yoga.

"It gives me a chance to kind of relax and enjoy the skating and kind of bring you back to why you started as opposed to some of your lessons get a little bit intense," said Christina, a competitive adult skater.

The class combines leaning, twisting, and stretching with breathing exercises. Participants skate to music as they glide across the ice.

"You get to feel connected to the sky and the birds and the sun and the wind while we're working on being grounded with the ice and drawing up that good earth energy," Elin Schran, director of Joy Skate Productions, said.

Classes are held on Sundays at 10 A.M. and are free to all.
