HYANNIS, Mass. (WBZ News Radio) — Hundreds came out to hear Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan speak at Cape GunWorks in Hyannis on Sunday.

VIP guests paid up to $5,000 to see the high-profile member of Congress.

Congressman Jordan held the campaign rally to raise money for the Jordan Freedom Fund. He touched on a variety of conservative talking points and spent some time discussing what he called President Biden and the Democratic Party's failures.

"We went from a secure border to no border, from safe streets to record crime, from stable prices to a 41-year high inflation rate," Congressman Jordan said. "We went from President Trump who projected strength to President Biden who obviously projects weakness."

Congressman Jordan was joined by former candidate for state Senate, Cape Cod Republican Jay McMahon. They were met with dozens of protestors outside calling Jordan a MAGA extremist and insurrectionist.

Protestors also went after local Republican representative Steve Xiarhos for being a part of the welcome committee for Congressman Jordan.

"He's here supporting an insurrectionist which makes him an insurrectionist," one protestor told WBZ's Tim Dunn.
