HINGHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The man charged in the deadly Apple Store crash in Hingham last year is now back behind bars after his bail was revoked on Tuesday.

Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz said a judge revoked Bradley Rein's bail for 60 days after he allegedly failed to charge his GPS tracking bracelet.

Hingham Police went to Rein's house several times over the weekend to tell him to turn it back on, DA Cruz said in a statement. On Monday, he was taken into custody.

Rein was ordered to wear the bracelet while out of jail on grand jury charges.

Rein is accused of driving the vehicle that crashed into the Hingham Apple Store on November 21, 2022, killing 65-year-old Kevin Bradley, of New Jersey, and injuring 22 others.

He said his foot was stuck on the gas pedal when the crash happened.

Prosecutors said that records from Rein's Toyota 4Runner indicate that he did not hit the brakes during the five seconds leading up to the fatal crash when the vehicle accelerated up to 60 mph.

A grand jury indicted him in March on more than two dozen charges including one count of second-degree murder. He was previously charged with reckless homicide.
