FALL RIVER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Fall River Police are reminding residents to lock their cars after one man was arrested in connection with breaking and entering into a vehicle on Friday.
Fall River resident Wilson Colon-Tirado, 30, was arrested for an incident taking place on November 30, 2022, according to a statement from Fall River Police Department. Two vehicles were broken into at a local business, one of which had items stolen, officials said.
The arrest prompted FRPD to remind residents to be mindful about locking doors and leaving items in cars.

"We would like to remind people to lock their car doors and not leave valuables in their vehicles as we have been seeing an increase in this type of crime. FRPD [Detective] Vertentes is working with area depts, who are also seeing an increase in car breaks, to identify those responsible," Fall River Police Department wrote on Twitter.
Officials said over the past few months they have seen several other incidents of similar nature. The cases are under investigation at this time.
