BROCKTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Brockton girl who made history when she scored a touchdown last Friday just scored again... but this time with a gift from the New England Patriots.
McKenzie Quinn, the Brockton High School senior received an autographed Patriots football this week, to honor the momentous event. New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft, sent the football to Quinn with words of inspiration from the team.
"To the Mighty Quinn – A pat on the back to you and all who contributed to your historic touchdown! We love to see that you are having a ball pursuing your passions. Continued success. The Patriots are rooting for you!... We are all Patriots”
Quinn became the first girl to score a touchdown on the high school football team, the Brockton Boxers in the 125-year-old program. In the game against the Dartmouth Indians, the Brockton Boxers won 50 to 7.
