Is Massachusetts Zen? One Report Finds It's One Of The Most Relaxed States

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — When you think of Massachusetts does the word 'chill' come to mind?

WBZ's Kyle Bray has more on the most relaxed states.

The Bay State recently made the top five list of the most relaxed states in the nation.

The recent report put New Hampshire at the top of the list as the most relaxed state, followed by Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts.

The report looked at crime rate, forest coverage, disposable income, and air quality to determine which state received chilled out status.

New Hampshire got a final relaxation score of 87/100 for having the second lowest crime rate, 84% forest/tree coverage, more than $3,300 in disposable income, and 91% of days having good air quality.

Maine and Vermont tied in second place with a score of 84.

Massachusetts had a final score of 81 with high scores across the board. The state also had the second highest disposable income rating.
