CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Hundreds braved the cold on Saturday to cheer on actress Jennifer Coolidge in Cambridge after she was named Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year.
Coolidge, a Norwell native, led the annual parade around Harvard Square after being named 2023 Woman of the Year by Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Theatricals.
"Well it's super cool, I mean two years ago we weren't able to host a man and woman of the year, last year we were able to host both man and woman of the year, but like when we interacted with them in person we were entirely in masks so this is amazing," said Jacob Ostfeld, a Hasty Pudding Social Club member.
Hasty Pudding Theatricals, known as the oldest theatrical organization in the country, names a Hasty Pudding man and woman each year, awarding them the title and a golden pudding pot.

"Well it takes someone whose contribution has been, to the entertainment community, has been truly monumental and of course, I mean, Jennifer Coolidge just won a Golden Globe award, I mean that's the crowning achievement of her career," Ostfeld said. "She is literally the woman of the moment."
Coolidge won a Golden Globe in January for her role in “The White Lotus.” Emmy award-winning actor Bob Odenkirk was named Hasty Pudding Man of 2023.
