MBTA Transit Police Look For Man Suspected Of Luring Young Girls With Candy

QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — MBTA Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man accused of trying to persuade young girls to come to him on the North Quincy MBTA platform over the weekend.

At around 6 p.m. on February 26, two girls aged 11 and 12 were standing on the North Quincy MBTA station platform when a man, also on the platform, allegedly yelled to the girls to come over to him.

The girls told Transit Police that they ignored him but he continued to attempt to persuade them.

"At this time the adult male began to walk in their direction and stated, "Come here... I have candy and puppies"," Transit Police said.

The girls were scared by the interaction and left the platform. TPD said the man suspected of attempting to lure them did not follow them.
