NEWBURYPORT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — People gathered to listen to classics from a 12-piece German Hofbrau band with a beer in hand at the 11th annual Newburyport Octoberfest on Saturday.
Newburyport Brewing Company hosted the Octoberfest featuring German music, food, and a new beer, a traditional German-Style Fest Bier.
"We actually have an Octoberfest which is super fun like 12-piece German Hofbrau band... all kinds of horns, and bagpipes, and just the classic German Octoberfest band," Chris Webb, owner of Newburyport Brewing Company told WBZ's Drew Moholland.

The event had food trucks, stein holding competition, brats, and pretzels for event-goers to enjoy from 12 P.M to 9 P.M.
"We're doing it to benefit Newburyport Youth Services which is great... it's kinda like when you're a local business owner and you have a community that's so awesome like Newburyport you always want to be giving back and bringing families together," Chris Webb, owner of Newburyport Brewing Company said.
Proceeds from the event go to Newburyport Youth Services.
