Police Call Off Ground Search For Cohasset Woman Missing Since January 1st

COHASSET, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Cohasset Police announced the ground search to find the mission Cohasset woman concluded on Saturday evening. Ana Walshe was last seen at her house in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Twenty Massachusetts State Police Emergency Response Team troopers, three K9 teams, and the State Police Air Wing searched in the woods near Walshe's Cohasset home on Saturday. Cohasset Police said they do not plan to continue the ground search unless they receive new information that warrants it.

After searching the woods, a small stream, and a pool there was no new development in the search to find Walshe or information regarding her disappearance.

While the ground search has been called off, detectives at MSP and Cohasset Police will continue to investigate.

On Friday, a fire broke out at Walshe's former home on Jerusalem Road. After investigating, officials determined the fire was an accident and not related to her disappearance.
