17-Year-Old Teen From Natick Killed In Crash In Canton

CANTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A car crash on Interstate 93 in Canton left one dead and several others injured.

Massachusetts State Police troopers responded to a crash around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The police reported that the crash involved a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 17-year-old male, and a 2011 Toyota Corolla, driven by a 28-year-old woman.

“The Jeep struck the Toyota on the ramp,” state police said. “The impact pushed the Toyota into the wood line and caused the Jeep to roll over across the ramp and into the adjacent infield.”

A 17-year-old Natick male sitting in the back passenger seat of the Jeep was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Jeep and the three others in the vehicle as well as the woman from the Toyota were all taken to local hospitals.

State police said none of them had life-threatening injuries.

This story is ongoing as the crash remains under investigation.
